Comedic inspiration
Whether they are shilling merchandise, pancakes or quips at opponents, there are few current WWE stars that are as hilarious as The New Day. Each member brings his own influence on the group and its promos. While Kofi Kingston seems like the most level-headed of the members, he can bring the silly. He revealed that WWE legend Booker T always made him laugh when he watched WWE.
Kingston got to see how the art of comedic wrestling was done up close once he signed with the WWE. He later mentioned that former WWE star Santino Marella cracked him up routinely when both men were members of the roster.
A tough act to follow
As Marella and Booker T inspired and cracked Kingston up, it’s safe to say that the former WWE Champion has had the same effect on a new crop of potential WWE stars. No one will ever come close to being The New Day, but it doesn’t mean that they cannot learn from the comedic expertise of the talented trio.
