Metal Gear Solid is one such game that fans would love to see a remake of, and it seems entirely possible - given that the series has had several different remakes throughout its existence. We’re even between releases of MGS remakes Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, but franchise creator, Hideo Kojima, seems to have mixed feelings when it comes to the idea of a potential re-imagining of his original baby.
The legendary developer recently spoke to Official PlayStation Magazine, and he shared his thoughts on the idea of a remake for the PS1 classic.
While I can see where Kojima’s initial hesitation comes from, it’s safe to say that Konami sees the sure-fire profit just waiting to be made from a highly requested Metal Gear Solid remake.
If this product does come to light, then hopefully it’s the re-imagining that Mr. Kojima has envisioned, and not a product that can simply tote ‘HD’ at the end of its title.
