Srikanth had reached the semifinals of the Hong Kong Open 2019 last week after numerous early exits in the previous tournaments. While it would be difficult to say that Srikanth is back in form, he is certainly on the right path to retain his lost glory.

The former World No.1 will have a slightly easy run at the title in this tournament with the withdrawal of some of the big names.

After the withdrawal of Saina Nehwal, Srikanth remains one of the three Indian players to participate in this year’s Korea Masters. The other two are Sameer and Sourabh Verma. Sameer went past Kazumasa Sakai in his first-round match after the latter retired in middle of the first set. Sourabh will be playing against Kim Donghun in his first-round match just before Srikanth’s match.
