Aliou Cisse unveiled his team list for the tournament in Russia on Thursday as they get set for a return to the quadrennial showpiece after a 16-year absence.
Senegal were eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the World Cup in 2002, and they must negotiate their way past Poland, Japan, and Colombia in Group H to reach the knockout phase.
However, some of the invited players have taken to social media to share their excitement.
“A pride and an honour to be part of the 23 Lions who will fight at the World Cup,” Koulibaly wrote on Instagram.
